These terms and conditions are only applicable after your purchase and installation of a stairlift from Love Stairlifts Ltd. They explain what you can expect from us and what your responsibilities as an owner will be.
If you purchase from Love Stairlifts Ltd for (a.) your own personal use and you are chronically sick or disabled (b.) you are a registered charity, or (c.) you are making the purchase on behalf of an individual who is chronically sick or disabled, you may be entitled to purchase the item without having to pay VAT. You will be required to make a declaration to confirm that the VAT exempt status applies to you. It is your responsibility to give accurate information and to not make a false declaration.
We will endeavour to deliver and install your stairlift on the date provided. However, in circumstances beyond our reasonable control we will not be held liable for costs incurred if we cannot meet this date. We will always keep you updated regarding your installation date, especially if it needs to be changed.
Price Promise Guarantee
At Love Stairlifts Ltd we always use quality products and offer great value prices. Therefore, we always endeavour to offer competitively priced products. Our expert marketing team is continuously comparing the stairlift market to ensure that we can offer you the best possible prices. However, should you find a cheaper price from another stairlift retailer, within 28 days of purchasing your Love stairlift, we guarantee that we will match it and beat it by £100.
Price Promise Guarantee Criteria
- Love Stairlifts Ltd will only offer a price guarantee against another retailer offering new stairlifts direct to consumers. We do not offer a price promise against any marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, Gum Tree or any other third-party resellers.
- The competitor’s stairlift must be a similar product which is offered by Love Stairlifts Ltd e.g. a similar model, colour, service guarantee, length of service guarantee and have the same service guarantee inclusions and non-inclusions.
- We do not price match against reconditioned stairlifts.
- The competitor’s stairlift must be publicly advertised online at the time that the price promise is issued. Alternatively, you need to provide Love Stairlifts Ltd with a written quote from that retailer, using their company letterhead quote form, leaflet or brochure.
- The competitor’s stairlift must not be part of any promotional activity that comes under the term ‘clearance sale’.
- For Love Stairlifts Ltd to redeem your price promise you must provide the above information and e-mail it to email@example.com
Power Supply & Alterations
You must provide a suitable 13-amp socket or fused spur which can be used for your stairlift only. If this is not available, then you must make arrangements to have one fitted before we can install the stairlift. If we agree to any extra work, it will be detailed on your customer invoice. Any extra work or modifications are at the cost of the customer. It is important to have a dedicated electrical socket to stop your stairlift being turned off accidently.
Only after we have received your deposit will we prepare or order your stairlift; we will start incurring costs after we begin to prepare the stairlift for installation. Therefore, you must pay a deposit when you place an order. Should you decide to cancel your order within your 21-day cooling-off period, you will receive a full deposit refund. Please refer to Right to Cancel for exemptions within your 21-day cooling-off period.
The customer will only own the stairlift when all balances have been paid. Final balances need to be paid upon installation.
Buying Goods Back
We are proud to offer our customers a buy back guarantee. If the stairlift is under 3 years old, then Love Stairlifts Ltd will offer up to a maximum of £200 pounds for any straight or curved stairlift sold. If the goods are over three years old, then we will offer to take the stairlift out free of charge. The only time we will not offer to buy it back or take it out for free is if the stairlift has been abused, misused and altered in anyway from its original installation specification.
No Risk Guarantee – Right to Cancel
Love Stairlifts Ltd offers a 21-day cooling off period on all its straight and curved stairlifts. To exercise the right to cancel please contact Love Stairlifts as soon as possible. The only exemption is, as follows:
- Bespoke goods or made to measure (specialist stairlift configurations and colours) items are exempt from this cooling off period, especially Home Lifts, i.e. through the floor lifts.
You will not be reimbursed or compensated for any alterations that may have been made to the staircase or the surrounding area, nor for any marks or holes in the carpet/floor caused by the installation and subsequent removal of the stairlift.
This does not affect your statutory rights under The Consumer Rights Act 2015, if, applicable, and any laws that replace it. If you want independent advice about your rights, you can speak to Citizens Advice or Trading Standards.
We supply our stairlifts with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty which applies from the date when we installed the stairlift; this covers the cost of parts and labour for faulty manufacture or installation. However, it does not cover issues resulting from the stairlift being used incorrectly or for any damage caused by yourself or other people.
Some of our new stairlifts will come with longer warranties and offer annual services. The length of warranty will be clearly shown on your customer invoice.
In the event of a breakdown we will aim to attend your premises within 24 hours, 365 days a year. We will contact you before the end of your warranty period, to ask if you would like to enter into an extended Service Contract.
Our service contracts have separate terms and conditions which can be found on the back of our Love Stairlifts Service Plan Leaflets. They are also available upon request.
Lifetime Motor Guarantee
Every new Love Stairlift Ltd stairlift comes with a lifetime motor guarantee. Reconditioned stairlifts do not come with a lifetime motor guarantee.
Love Stairlifts Ltd will always endeavour to provide the best service and products for our customers. However, we recognise there may be rare occasions when our customers may not be completely satisfied.
As soon as possible after the completion of the stairlift installation, please inspect the work to ensure that everything has been carried out to our usual high standards. If you are not entirely satisfied, please contact us on 0151 459 5939 or in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Love Stairlifts Ltd is a member of the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) and has signed up to its Trading Standards approved code of practice. If you are unhappy with the outcome of a complaint you can approach the BHTA for mediation and, as a member, we will participate in this process free of charge. All personal data that Love Stairlifts Ltd may use will be collected, processed and held in accordance with the UK Data Protection Legislation and Your Rights under these.
